Meet the MOB!
The Members of Orchestra Board (MOB) are the backbone of our student organization. Students interested in being a part of MOB undergo an intense application process at the end of each year to earn the right to be an Arts Management leader for the orchestra. Together with the directors, they plan, run, and assess concerts, banquets, and fundraisers in addition to managing equipment, our music library, and the website. They are the first to arrive, the last to leave, and the ones people look to for directions and answers. Meet this year's MOB:
President
Sam Kim
The President oversees all operations and board members. They are responsible for running the organization and making final decisions in concert with the directors.
Event Manager
Claire Kim
The event manager collaborates with Dr. Taylor, Mrs. Kohut, and the president in order to host orchestra events including, but not limited to, concerts, volunteer/fundraising opportunities, and other orchestra events. They also help the president with announcements and communicates with each of the classes.
Secretary
Minn Jun
At monthly meetings, the Secretary takes minutes (notes) and reports them back to other MOB members after each meeting. Additionally, the secretary coordinates board events such as dinners or service projects.
Admin Assistants
Isabel Jung, Jenny Park
Admin Assistants support communication and organization for the orchestra program. They assist directors with logistics and presentations, create attendance tools, help coordinate concert ushers, and support events, fundraisers, and trip preparations.
Website Curator
Chethna Ganesh
The website curator manages the CVHS orchestra website.
Art Team
Charlotte Lee, Rosie Dhanormchitphong
The Art Team makes posters, flyers, and signs for the orchestra. They help with any art-related aspects of the orchestra including, but not limited to, candy grams, posters, T-shirt designs, and hospitality.
Historians
Sreeya Sangaraju, Alva Paz-Bonilla, Yeojun Yun
Historians take videos and pictures of all concerts and orchestra related events, and upload them to social media. They coordinate with the Tech Team to keep photos and events up to date on the CVHS orchestra website. End of the year duties include making the senior slideshow along with other presentations for concerts and the banquet.
Librarians
Hannah Gaffney (Manager), Seoyeon Kim, April Choi, Leia Shin, Allison Troup
Librarians dedicate a significant amount of time to organizing the music library throughout the year by putting music in order and keeping the library clean.
Stage Crew
Jason Liu (Manager), Antonella Foschi, Saber Reangber, Ramakanth Pedda, Josh Bendel, Maali Kavali
Stage Crew members ensure that the stage is set up and ready to go for all orchestra related performances. They must arrive early and stay after school for concerts and events in order to clean and set the stage up.
Tech Team
Jimin Ham, Brenda Rosas-Diego
Tech Team manages video and audio recording at all concerts. Additionally, they help manage the CVHS orchestra website.
